Terms of Service
Welcome to SomaMe. By accessing or using our services, including the Asori application, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
SECTION 1 – ACCEPTANCE OF TERMS
By creating an account, accessing, or using SomaMe and Asori services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you do not agree, you may not use our services. We may modify these Terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of changes.
SECTION 2 – DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE
SomaMe provides software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, including Asori, a church management and engagement platform. Our services include:
- Member and attendance management
- Event scheduling and communications
- Donation tracking and financial tools
- Mobile and web applications
- Analytics and reporting features
- Data storage and backup services
SECTION 3 – DATA OWNERSHIP & RESPONSIBILITY
IMPORTANT: WE DO NOT OWN YOUR CHURCH DATA. All member data, church information, and related content stored in Asori belongs to you and your organization. SomaMe acts solely as a data processor and custodian on your behalf.
3.1 Your Data Rights
- You retain full ownership of all data entered into Asori
- You can export your data at any time in standard formats
- You can delete your account and all associated data
- We will not use your data for any purpose other than providing the service
- We will not sell, share, or disclose your church member data to third parties
3.2 Your Responsibilities
- You are responsible for obtaining consent from church members before adding their data
- You must comply with applicable data protection laws (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
- You are responsible for the accuracy and legality of data you input
- You must maintain appropriate security practices for account access
- You are liable for any legal issues arising from your use of member data
SECTION 4 – ACCOUNT REGISTRATION & CONSENT
4.1 Account Creator
When you sign up for Asori, you provide personal information such as your name, email address, phone number, and organization details. By providing this information, you consent to our collecting and using it to:
- Provide and maintain your account
- Process payments and transactions
- Send service-related notifications
- Improve user experience
- Protect your account from unauthorized access
4.2 Church Member Data
When you add church members to Asori, you are responsible for:
- Obtaining proper consent from members before collecting their data
- Informing members about what data is collected and how it will be used
- Ensuring compliance with your local privacy laws
- Providing members with the ability to view, correct, or delete their data
4.3 Member Opt-In via Mobile App
When a user joins or follows a church through the Asori mobile app, the following data is shared with that church:
- Phone number
- Email address
- First name and last name
- Profile picture
- Gender
When a user unfollows or leaves a church in the app, their data is removed from that church's database.
4.4 Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and have the authority to enter into these Terms on behalf of your church or organization. By using Asori, you represent that you meet these requirements.
SECTION 5 – ACCOUNT SECURITY
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- All activities that occur under your account
- Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized use
- Ensuring your account information is accurate and current
- Implementing appropriate security measures within your organization
SECTION 6 – ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY
You agree to:
- Use the service only for lawful purposes
- Not violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Not infringe on intellectual property rights
- Not transmit malicious code or attempt unauthorized access
- Not harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Not use the service for spam or unsolicited marketing
- Not impersonate others or provide false information
- Maintain appropriate backup of your data
SECTION 7 – PAYMENT TERMS
7.1 Subscription Fees
Certain features require paid subscriptions. Fees are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. All fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
7.2 Donation Processing
If you use Asori's donation features, we do not store credit card data. All payment information is encrypted and processed through secure third-party payment gateways that comply with PCI-DSS standards. We store donation amounts and dates against member records for reporting purposes only.
7.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled before the renewal date. You can cancel anytime through your account settings.
7.4 Price Changes
We may change prices with 30 days' notice. Continued use after the notice period constitutes acceptance of new prices.
SECTION 8 – DATA HOSTING & SECURITY
Our software is hosted on Firebase (Google Cloud Platform). They provide us with secure infrastructure that allows us to store and give you access to your data in real-time over the internet.
Your data is stored through Asori's secure databases behind firewalls and encrypted connections. We implement:
- TLS/SSL encryption for data in transit
- Encryption for data at rest
- Regular security audits and monitoring
- Access controls and authentication
- Automated backup and recovery procedures
SECTION 9 – THIRD-PARTY SERVICES
We use third-party service providers for:
- Hosting and infrastructure (Firebase/Google Cloud)
- Payment processing (as selected by you)
- Email delivery
- Analytics and monitoring
These providers have their own privacy policies and terms. We recommend reviewing them. They will only access your data to the extent necessary to provide their services.
SECTION 10 – INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
10.1 Our Rights
SomaMe and Asori, including all software, designs, trademarks, and content, are owned by SomaMe and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
10.2 Your Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload. By using our service, you grant us a limited license to host, store, backup, and display your content as necessary to provide the service. This license terminates when you delete your account.
SECTION 11 – SERVICE AVAILABILITY
We strive for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may suspend service for:
- Scheduled maintenance (with advance notice when possible)
- Emergency maintenance
- Violations of these Terms
- Technical issues beyond our control
- Security threats or breaches
SECTION 12 – CONSENT WITHDRAWAL & ACCOUNT DELETION
You may withdraw your consent and delete your account at any time. To do so:
- Delete your account directly from your account settings, or
- Contact us at privacy@somame.com
Upon account deletion:
- All your data will be permanently deleted within 90 days
- Your subscription will be canceled (no refunds for unused time)
- You will receive confirmation of deletion
- Some data may be retained as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g., payment records for tax compliance)
SECTION 13 – TERMINATION
13.1 By You
You may cancel your account at any time. Upon cancellation, your access will continue until the end of your billing period.
13.2 By Us
We may suspend or terminate your account if you:
- Violate these Terms or our Acceptable Use Policy
- Engage in fraudulent activity
- Fail to pay fees when due
- Use the service in ways that harm us, other users, or third parties
- Provide false information or impersonate others
SECTION 14 – DISCLAIMERS
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE ERROR-FREE, SECURE, OR UNINTERRUPTED.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR:
- Loss of data due to user error or device failure
- Third-party service failures
- Internet connectivity issues
- Unauthorized access resulting from weak passwords or shared credentials
SECTION 15 – LIMITATION OF LIABILITY
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SOMAME SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR GOODWILL.
OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Since we do not own your church data, we cannot be held liable for any legal issues arising from your use, disclosure, or handling of member data. You bear sole responsibility for compliance with data protection laws.
SECTION 16 – INDEMNIFICATION
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless SomaMe from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from:
- Your use of the service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any rights of another party
- Your handling of church member data
- Your failure to comply with data protection laws
SECTION 17 – AGE OF CONSENT
By using this service, you represent that:
- You are at least 18 years of age
- You are setting up the account for a legitimate religious organization
- You have the authority to bind your organization to these Terms
- If collecting data from minors, you have obtained parental/guardian consent as required by law
SECTION 18 – CHANGES TO TERMS
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will take effect immediately upon posting. We will notify you of material changes via email or through the service. Your continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
If our company is acquired or merged with another company, these Terms will continue to govern, and the new owners will manage your data in accordance with this agreement.
SECTION 19 – GOVERNING LAW & DISPUTES
These Terms are governed by [Jurisdiction] law without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in the courts of [Jurisdiction].

SECTION 21 – ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS AND TIMELINESS OF INFORMATION
We are responsible for protecting information made available by you on our web and mobile application that houses your church data.
The web and mobile application will contain certain information and data captured by you or your members, and it is solely your responsibility to ensure you capture that accurately.
You reserve the right to modify the contents/data in your Asori church account at any time (limited to the data you capture with the system), but we have no obligation, right, or control to update any information within your account.
You agree that, in case you need assistance to undertake a particular activity within the application, you will grant access to your account by an Asori staff member to assist you in executing that task, upon which when completed, you will revoke that access and right.
The material on our website/landing page is provided for general information only and should not be relied upon or used as the sole basis for making decisions without consulting primary, more accurate, more complete, or more timely sources of information. Any reliance on the material on this site is at your own risk.
SECTION 22 – GENERAL USAGE GUIDELINES
You agree that your usage of our web and mobile application will not:
- Violate any right of any third party, including copyright, trademark, privacy, personality, or other personal or proprietary rights
- Contain libelous or otherwise unlawful, abusive, or obscene material
- Contain any computer virus or other malware that could affect the operation of the Service
- Use a false email address or pretend to be someone other than yourself
- Mislead us or third parties as to the origin of your identity
- Spam, phish, pharm, pretext, spider, crawl, or scrape
- Interfere with or circumvent security features
SECTION 23 – ERRORS, INACCURACIES AND OMISSIONS
Occasionally there may be information on our web and mobile application or in the Service that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to:
- Product descriptions
- Pricing and promotions
- Service availability
- Feature descriptions
We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies, or omissions, and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order).
We undertake no obligation to update, amend, or clarify information in the Service or on any related website, including pricing information, except as required by law.
SECTION 24 – ADDITIONAL FEATURES AND THIRD-PARTY INTEGRATIONS
24.1 Feature Requests
You may request or suggest additional features and/or third-party integrations which are not presently available in our services. Feature requests can be made by:
- Writing directly to us through our support platform
- Emailing support@somame.com
- Submitting via the contact form at our support page
24.2 Implementation Process
When you request an additional feature, we reserve the right to refuse or implement. We will communicate in writing to you our decision on your request.
If we accept to implement your request:
- We will submit a document detailing the timelines for implementation
- An invoice detailing the cost associated with the feature (if custom development)
- A scope of work agreement
- Expected delivery dates
24.3 Third-Party Tools
We may provide you with access to third-party tools over which we neither monitor nor have any control nor input.
You acknowledge and agree that we provide access to such tools "as is" and "as available" without any warranties, representations, or conditions of any kind and without any endorsement. We shall have no liability whatsoever arising from or relating to your use of optional third-party tools.
Any use by you of optional tools offered through the site is entirely at your own risk and discretion. You should ensure that you are familiar with and approve of the terms on which tools are provided by the relevant third-party provider(s).
SECTION 25 – THIRD-PARTY LINKS
Certain content, products, and services available via our Service may include materials from third parties.
Third-party links on this site may direct you to third-party websites that may or may not be affiliated with us. We are not responsible for examining or evaluating the content or accuracy and we do not warrant and will not have any liability or responsibility for any third-party materials or websites, or for any other materials, products, or services of third parties.
We are not liable for any harm or damages related to the purchase or use of goods, services, resources, content, or any other transactions made in connection with any third-party websites. Please review carefully the third party's policies and practices and make sure you understand them before you engage in any transaction.
Complaints, claims, concerns, or questions regarding third-party products should be directed to the third party.
SECTION 26 – SOCIAL MEDIA INTEGRATION
Your account on Asori may have capabilities to connect to social media platforms. If you choose to use these integrations, you must ensure that you understand and follow the terms of service of the following social media platforms:

We are not responsible for:
- Changes to third-party social media terms of service
- Suspension or termination of your social media accounts
- Data shared with or collected by social media platforms
- Compliance with social media platform policies
SECTION 27 – MODIFICATIONS TO SERVICE AND PRICING
27.1 Price Changes
Prices for our services are subject to change with notice from SomaMe. We will provide at least 30 days' notice of any price increases via:
- Email to your registered address
- In-app notification
- Posting on our website
27.2 Service Modifications
We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof). If we decide to discontinue the service, we will provide 6 months' notice.
In such case, you will be assisted to migrate all your data off the system into a common interoperable format (CSV, JSON, or SQL) that you can download and reuse at no additional cost.
We shall not be liable to you or to any third party for any modification, price change, suspension, or discontinuance of the Service, provided you were duly informed and communicated about the changes at least 6 months prior to implementation.
SECTION 28 – ACCOUNT SUSPENSION AND REACTIVATION
28.1 Voluntary Suspension
Suspension of account means you want to pause the use of our service. You may request suspension by contacting support@somame.com.
28.2 During Suspension
During the time of suspension:
- Your existing subscription will be frozen
- You will not be able to login to our services
- No charges will be applied to your account
- Your data will be preserved and secured
28.3 Reactivation
You have a period of 12 months to notify us of your wish to reactivate your account. We reserve the right to terminate your account after 12 months of suspension.
Before termination, we will notify you on 3 occasions:
- At 9 months of suspension
- At 11 months of suspension
- At 11.5 months of suspension (final warning)
Upon reactivation:
- Access to the account will be restored immediately
- Service subscription charges resume from the date of reactivation
- All your data will be available as it was before suspension
SECTION 29 – DATA MIGRATION AND EXPORT
29.1 Your Right to Export
You reserve the right at any time to discontinue the Service. In such case, you will be assisted to migrate all your data off the system into a downloadable file at no cost.
29.2 Export Formats
We provide data export in the following formats:
- CSV (Comma-Separated Values)
- JSON (JavaScript Object Notation)
- SQL database dump
- PDF reports (for donations and attendance)
29.3 Data Retention After Termination
After you export and delete your account:
- We will no longer be storing your data (except as required by law)
- Our Privacy Policy will cease to apply to you
- You will have 90 days to request re-activation with data restoration
- After 90 days, all data will be permanently deleted
SECTION 30 – REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
30.1 Cancellation
You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting billing@somame.com.
30.2 Refunds
Monthly subscriptions:
- Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing cycle
- No refunds for partial months
- Access continues until the end of the paid period
Annual subscriptions:
- Pro-rated refunds available within first 30 days
- No refunds after 30 days
- Cancellation takes effect at end of annual period
30.3 14-Day Free Trial
All plans include a 14-day free trial. During the trial:
- No credit card required to start
- Full access to all features for your plan
- Cancel anytime without charges
- After trial, subscription automatically begins unless cancelled
SECTION 31 – SERVICE LEVEL AGREEMENT (SLA)
31.1 Uptime Commitment
We strive to maintain 99.9% uptime for our services. In the event of planned maintenance:
- We will provide at least 48 hours' notice
- Maintenance will be scheduled during off-peak hours when possible
- Duration will be communicated in advance
31.2 Service Interruptions
You agree that our service may be occasionally interrupted for maintenance purposes. You will be duly informed before any scheduled interruption commences via:
- Email notification
- In-app notification
- Status page updates
31.3 Emergency Maintenance
In case of emergency maintenance (security threats, critical bugs), we may perform unscheduled maintenance with minimal or no advance notice to protect the integrity and security of the service.
SECTION 32 – FORCE MAJEURE
We shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance under these Terms due to causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to:
- Acts of God, natural disasters, epidemics, or pandemics
- War, terrorism, riots, or civil disorder
- Government actions, embargoes, or sanctions
- Internet service provider failures or outages
- Power outages or telecommunications failures
- Third-party hosting provider failures
SECTION 33 – WAIVER AND SEVERABILITY
33.1 Waiver
The failure of us to exercise or enforce any right or provision of these Terms of Service shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
33.2 Severability
Any part, provision, representation, or warranty of this Agreement which is prohibited or which is held to be void or unenforceable shall be ineffective to the extent of such prohibition or unenforceability without invalidating the remaining provisions hereof.
Any misinterpretation of these Terms of Service shall not be construed against the drafting party.
SECTION 34 – ASSIGNMENT
You may not assign, transfer, or delegate these Terms or your rights and obligations hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms without restriction. Any attempted assignment in violation of this section shall be null and void.
SECTION 35 – NOTICES
All notices required or permitted under these Terms shall be in writing and shall be deemed delivered when:
- Delivered personally
- Sent by confirmed email to the address provided in your account
- Sent by certified mail, return receipt requested
- Posted as an in-app notification

SECTION 36 – RELATIONSHIP OF PARTIES
Nothing in these Terms shall be deemed to create any relationship of:
- Partnership
- Joint venture
- Employer-employee
- Franchisor-franchisee
- Agent-principal
between you and SomaMe.
SECTION 37 – SURVIVAL
The following sections shall survive termination of these Terms:
- Section 3 (Data Ownership & Responsibility)
- Section 10 (Intellectual Property)
- Section 14 (Disclaimers)
- Section 15 (Limitation of Liability)
- Section 16 (Indemnification)
- Section 19 (Governing Law & Disputes)
- Any payment obligations incurred before termination
SECTION 38 – ENTIRE AGREEMENT
These Terms of Service and any policies or operating rules posted by us on this site or in respect to the Service constitute the entire agreement and understanding between you and us and govern your use of the Service, superseding any prior or contemporaneous agreements, communications, and proposals, whether oral or written, between you and us (including, but not limited to, any prior versions of the Terms of Service).
SECTION 39 – LANGUAGE
These Terms are written in English. In case of any translation, the English version shall prevail.
