The case study
Context
Apostle Eric Nyamekye is the Chairman of The Church of Pentecost. His ministry reaches members across the Church’s international presence through sermons, writings, books and regular online programmes.
The challenge
An executive platform has to feel dignified and calm, make a large body of teaching easy to find, and stay secure — the people who keep it current need a simple administration, and nothing about it should be easy to tamper with.
What we built
- A sermons and writings library with search and category filters.
- A books page presenting the Chairman’s publications.
- Weekly online programmes with a countdown in GMT, a live indicator and calendar reminders.
- A media gallery organised into albums, and a quotes page.
- About, vision and ministry, leadership and governance, and global presence pages.
- Contact and newsletter sign-up with bot protection, server-side validation and rate limits.
- An administration for sermons, media, quotes, requests, subscribers (with CSV export) and administrator accounts, plus a privacy-preserving analytics dashboard.
Engineering scope
Next.js 16 and React 19 on Supabase, with ten database tables protected by row-level access rules for every role. Strict security headers (Content Security Policy and HSTS) are set in the application.
Structured data describes the person, the organisation and every collection page. Unit tests, 39 database access-rule checks and browser tests with an automated accessibility scan run on every public page.
Design decisions
- Teaching first: sermons, writings and books are one search away from every page.
- Reminders over notifications: programme times become calendar entries people control.
- Security as a default: access rules on every table and a strict content security policy.
The delivered system
A complete platform with its administration, built for the Chairman’s office. Publication is managed by the office.
