The case study
Context
The Church of Pentecost Children’s Ministry serves children and the parents and teachers around them across the Church’s congregations.
The challenge
One app, three very different audiences: a child who wants to read and play, a parent following along, and a teacher preparing a lesson — each needing a different front door.
What we built
- An audience picker that shapes the app for children, parents or teachers.
- Home, news, announcements and events.
- A Bible reader with search and passage selection.
- Devotions with flip cards, prayer points and reading progress.
- A media hub with colouring, puzzle and quiz games.
- A ministry market with an order flow, a leadership portal, and teachers, areas, about and support pages.
Engineering scope
A Flutter app with Riverpod state management and 13 routes. It is built with illustrative content and is ready to be connected to the ministry’s own content and accounts.
Design decisions
- Choose your audience first, so a child never lands in a parent’s settings.
- Learning through play: games sit beside the Bible and devotions, not behind them.
The delivered system
A complete Flutter app for Android and iOS. We do not publish the ministry’s photographs or children’s images from the project.
